About Pocket Ami
My name is Salina, and I make handmade amigurumi. During the peak of the pandemic, I relied on crocheting to support my mental health and to get my mind off of current events. I frequently crocheted gifts for friends, family and pets to show that I was thinking about them in troubling times.
Shortly afterwards, my friends and family were offering to pay for my work, and I immediately saw a shift in demand as custom orders increased. So I turned my crochet hobby into my e-Commerce business - this was the start of Pocket Ami.
"Pocket" symbolizes the size of the amigurumi, and it's small enough to take around in your pocket. While "Ami" is a direct translation of "crocheted" or "knitted" in Japanese.

I make many different patterns and craft the cutest fluffy characters from everyone's favourite movies, video games and tv shows. Join my journey as I create custom amigurumi including animals, Pokémon, Disney, and more.
